EPL – A Partnership Learning Programme
Communication Training for Couples
The secret to a happy and satisfied relationship is communication. Expressing wishes and needs, resolving disagreements, spending everyday life together – none of this works without talking to each other. The way couples communicate with one another has a major influence on their relationship.
EPL – a partnership learning programme – first teaches couples fundamental communication and problem-solving skills. Using these skills, couples then discuss important topics related to their relationship – in a private setting, separate from the other couples taking part in the course.
Topics covered in the course sessions
“We understand each other!”
– Becoming aware of what helps create mutual understanding.
“I can talk to you, even when I’m angry!”
– Expressing feelings openly and honestly.
“We’re making progress!”
– Resolving disagreements and finding solutions together.
“This is what I would like in our relationship!”
– Expressing expectations and wishes.
“This is how I imagine our intimate relationship!”
– Talking openly about intimacy and sexuality.
“This is what supports me and us!”
– Discussing personal values, beliefs, and faith.
Specially trained course facilitators accompany and support couples throughout their conversations.
A course usually consists of four couples and two trained facilitators.
Please note:
This course does not replace couples counselling in cases of acute relationship crises or similar situations.

The course takes place online via Zoom.
Dates:
• Saturday, 10 April 2027, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Tuesday, 13 April 2027, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
• Thursday, 15 April 2027, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
• Tuesday, 20 April 2027, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
